Coelopleurus wetherelli (Forbes, 1852)

Coelopleurus wetherelli is one of the only species of echinoid which can be found in the London Clay. It is quite rare.

The genus Coelopleurus is still alive today and are known as abyssal sea urchins and are often brightly colored.
