Arcoscalpellum quadratum (Dixon, 1850)
Arcoscapellum quadratum is one of the species of barnacle found in the London Clay. It has been found at Sheppey and Aveley.
Barnacles are relatively uncommon in the London Clay, and clusters are quite rare, however individual specimens can often be found preserved in pyrite within the shingle patches of the beach. Below is an amazing example of Arcoscapellum quadratum which was found in Bognor (Sussex).
