Ledina amygdaloides
Ledina amygdaloides is a species of bivalve found in the London Clay. Nuculana amygdaloides and Nucula amygdaloides are old names for Ledina amygdaloides.
It has been found at Sheppey, Aveley, Tankerton, Elmley, Herne Bay, Hampton Pier and Seasalter.
On the right is an example of Ledina amygdaloides which still has its white shell preserved.
