‘Pteria ‘ papyracea is a very distinctive species of Bivalve found in the London Clay. It has been found at Sheppey and Aveley.
It is one of the most distictive species of bivalve found in the London Clay due to its 2 dimentional nature as can be seen on the specimen on the right.
